● Are you an entertainer or like entertaining a crowd? Our student council is interesting in organizing a Building 50 talent show for this coming April. Please let your student council representative know if you are interested in performing. You could sing a song, play an instrument, read a poem, perform a dance, or lip sync a song!? We are looking for great acts to perform and you don’t want to miss out! Sign up today!!

● Early Dismissal Wednesday, has had a few adjustments to the TPP Wednesday class schedule. In the main office, rm 125, and childcare offices there is now a posted Wednesday class schedule. On Wednesdays that no official Wednesday class is offered, students now have have the option to utilize the schools common areas, library and computer labs. Student expectations will remain the same:
  • School dismissal is at 2:30, and students may choose to leave a that time, if no Wednesday class is required.
  • Students choosing to stay or who are waiting for bus transportation, need to utilize the buildings common areas, library, and computer lab during this time.
  • Students with children in childcare choosing to stay, don’t forget that your child must remain in childcare until leaving for the day.

● It is not too late to purchase your yearbook for this year! You have until Feb. 22 to purchase your yearbook, don’t miss out on this opportunity, get it ordered before it is too late!! The cost is $25.00, order yours today!

● 1000 Soles will be kicking off on Feb. 14th this year. Please remember to bring shoes for those in need! They are looking specifically for rain boots, tennis shoes, or other closed toe shoes. They are also collecting shoe laces, as well. Please no dressy ladies shoes. Look for the collection bins that will be put up in the lobby and around the building. Thank you Kenna Petry, Destiny Goodell, and team for heading up our collection this year! The competition between high schools goes from Feb. 14th- Feb. 26th.

● Teen Parent students- Kindergarten Readiness #2 is coming up on Feb. 12th- please plan now to attend these amazing workshops designed for you!

● Do you like exploring new cultures? Do you like KPop, KDramas, or Korean Language? Then come join the new K-CLub. We meet on Thursdays from 3:30-4:15 in the Library. See you there ….

● Have you thought about joining MESA but thought you missed the boat? Now is your chance! See Ms Carver before February 14 th to join MESA for the second half of the year. Learn about engineering and science through fun, hands-on challenges and take your project to compete at MESA Day at Portland State University in May. See Ms Carver for more info or just come to a meeting after school Tuesday to check it out. You don’t need any experience or knowledge! Seriously! Beginners are welcome – see you in 117 on Tuesday!

● Valograms will go on sale starting today through the 13th during both lunches- think now about who’s day you can brighten with a fun val-o-gram!!

● ECHS students- the annual AVID t-shirt design contest is coming up. Please watch for the signs in the hallways and start your design ideas now! The winning design will be printed on our AVID t-shirts for all grades!

● Did you know we have several clubs meeting weekly in our building? We have Magic Mondays after school in Kresner’s room, Math team during lunch on Tuesdays in Williams room, MESA after school on Tuesdays in Carver’s room, Wednesday groups for Teen moms after school, Creative Writing Club meets on Thursdays after school in Utley’s room, and our newest club, Anime Club will meet Fridays after school in Abraham’s room. Visit with one of these teachers, and join in the fun!

● Dori Day is coming up on the 20th of Feb.- This is a semi-annual conference for all students in Building 50. Your teachers will be giving you more information, as we get closer to the date. Please mark your calendars!
