● Welcome back to another great fall week. With the change in weather upon us and only 2 weeks left until finals, now is the time to stay focused and stay on track. Keep up the commitments you made throughout the trimester and you will finish strong. Thanks for being a great student and Building 50 ROLE Model.

● We would like to congratulate our “Students of the Month” for October. For TTP, the student of the month is Kaylee Perez and for ECHS, the student of the month is Julia Bogarin - Way to go!!

● This is your last week to purchase Boo Grams during both lunches! Who’s day you would like to brighten with a little bit of Boo! They will be on sale until tomorrow, and delivered on Wednesday. Get yours today!

● Interesting in enhancing your writing skills. Between 2 Worlds is a wonderful writers conference to do just that. The conference is open to 10th through 12th graders, takes place November 7, and is during the entire school day. Lunch and transportation from Building 50 are provided. See Karen Utley by Friday, in room 152, for more details and how to sign up.

● The Kroc Center is hosting a Halloween Carnival Party on Wednesday, from 3:30-9:00 pm. There will be booths, games , art, and much, much more. They are in need of volunteers, and this is an opportunity for you to earn community engagement hours. Please stop by the main office to get the Kroc Center’s contact information.

● This is Spirit Week!!. Look for posters around the school this week for reminders of what the spirit days are.○ Today is … Culture Day (honor your heritage)○ Tuesday is … Ducks and Beavers Day○ Wednesday is … Pink Out○ Thursday is … Meme Day (No face paint)○ Friday is …Class Spirit Color Competition (Frosh-Green, Soph-Purple, Junior- Orange, Senior- Black)

● Did you know we have several clubs meeting weekly in our building? We have Magic Mondays after school in Kresner’s room, Math team during lunch on Tuesdays in Williams’ room, MESA after school on Tuesdays in Carver’s room, Wednesday groups for Teen moms after school, Creative Writing Club meets on Thursdays after school in Utley’s room, and our newest club, Anime Club will meet Fridays after school in Abraham’s room. Visit with one of these teachers, and join in the fun!

● TPP- Get ready for another great year of the Kindergarten Readiness workshops. The first one will be here on Nov. 6th, contact Jenny or Julie for more information.

● I matter. You matter. We matter. ILEAD Youth Leadership Summit invites high school students from Marion and Polk Counties to meet up on November 3rd to talk about our brain’s health and why it matters. ILEAD is FREE and provides bus transportation to the summit. If you want to snag some information on how to cope with life better and help others too, join us! Pick up a registration packet in room 125 or ask Rachel Moreno for more details. You must turn in your completed application by this Wednesday to be able to join in.

● Harvest Fest is this week!! It will be this Thursday, Nov. 1st in our gym. It is a super fun evening that includes dinner and dessert! We hope to see you all there! It is open to all Teen parents, ECHS, and your families!

● The drummers are selling Willamette Valley fruit pies until tomorrow, the 30th of Oct, to benefit the work they do for our local elementary schools. If your family buys pies for Thanksgiving, please mention our sale, and consider purchasing pies through our drummers here at school this year. Thank you for supporting our drummers! Pie pick up will be on the 16th of November.

● There will be no school on Nov. 12th for Veteran’s Day and finals are coming up soon on Nov. 15th and 16th. Begin your preparation now!

● Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences are coming! They will be on Nov. 19th and 20th, make sure to plan to attend with your parent or guardian.
