Graduation rates for SKPS and ECHS are rising

posted Jan 29, 2018, 1:32 PM by Eric Rose-Phillips

According to the Oregon Department of Education’s recently released graduation rates for the 2016-17 academic year, Salem-Keizer Public Schools (SKPS) increased its graduation rate by nearly two percentage points. This means that more of our students are graduating high school on time, and they are ready to enter the next phase of their lives. The graduation rates were based on a four- and five-year cohort of students entering the ninth grade in the 2013-14 or 12-13 academic year.

We are proud to announce that ECHS students achieved a graduation rate of 91.89 percent! This is an incredible jump from the previous year where 80 percent of students received their high school diploma. As this number is encouraging, we are always aiming to have all students graduate and be prepared to have a successful life beyond high school. We are also happy to share that all of our students were high school completers and none of our subnets were considered dropouts. Thank you for your continued support of our students and ECHS!
