Monday Announcements for Monday October 7th

  • Good news!!  Did you know that you have a short week this week?  We have a grading day on Thursday, and our Statewide In-service day on Friday.  Enjoy your three day week and finish this first six weeks strong!!  

  • Attention Seniors- FAFSA Night is coming soon, it is tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 8th!  Make plans now to attend with your parent or guardian. These sessions are designed for ECHS and TPP graduating seniors.  Please see Sarah in room 125 for more information.

  • Mondays are a special day, because we offer two great clubs to get involved in!  We have two clubs you can be involved in. We have Magic Mondays happening in Mr. Kresner’s room and Minecraft Monday happening in Mrs.Pemberton’s room.  

  • Congratulations to our wonderful student council representatives that were announced last week.  We held our first meeting and are ready for a great year. Please listen for updates in your AVID and Advisory classes of what is coming up!  

  • Are you interested in learning about engineering, design, programming, coding or other engineering and science fun? Beginners are VERY welcome! No experience required. Come down to room 117 to talk to Ms. Carver if you have questions. MESA meetings will be held every Friday at 3:30 pm this school year in Ms. Carver’s room. See you there!

  • Our first “Friday Night Live” is coming up on Oct. 25th at 7:00 pm and it is a costume party!!  Start thinking now about what you would like to dress up as. We will have 4 costume categories that will be judged for prizes; Best Group Theme, Funniest Costume, Scariest Costume, and the best Famous Person costume. Keep your eyes out for posters and more information.  You can purchase tickets in advance for only $3.00, starting on Oct. 21st. May the best costumes win!!

  • We have a few extra copies of our last year’s yearbook available on a first come, first serve basis.  They are being sold for $30.00. Please stop by the main office to inquire about purchasing one. 

  • Are you musical?  Plan to join Music Club Madness happening every other Tuesday from 3:30-4:30 pm in Mrs. Utley’s room.  We are looking for students that sing or play any type of instrument, come on down and join in!!

  • Have you smelled the delicious popcorn being sold in the lobby?  It is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays for only .50 cents. Thank you, Mrs. Caulder and class for making our building smell so good!  

  • Please consider joining a brand new club, crossfit club, it is being held on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30 in the gym where Bob will be the supervisor. The club will be working as a group, doing a set workout for the day, which will be planned out beforehand by a fellow student. Please bring a water bottle, along with clothes that are comfortable to workout in, and proper shoes. Everyone is welcome to come to the new club, we hope you will consider joining in! 

  • “Boo Grams” are coming soon.  They will be on sale starting on Oct. 16th.  Start planning now who you can send a little boo to, this year!!

  • Hey building 50 students, are you interested in volleyball, or want to learn more about volleyball?  Please join our new volleyball club happening every Wednesday right after school from 2:30-3:30 pm in the gym.  Make sure to wear something comfortable to play in. We hope to see you there! 

  • Save the date!!  Willamette Valley Pie sales are back this year for your Thanksgiving events!  They will be sold from Oct. 17-Nov. 1st- please support our students and buy your pies from our students.  Thank you!

  • Do you love to write and being creative, well then our Creative writing club is perfect for you!  They are meeting every Thursday in Mrs. Utley’s classroom at 3:30 pm. Also- SAVE THE DATE! Coming November 6, Between 2 Worlds, a conference for students interested in writing—screenwriting, scripts, academic writing, college application essays, poetry, short stories, novels and more. Register on-line for this all-day event. Transportation from the school and lunch are provided. See Mrs. Utley for more information.
