Apply to Early College High School

Applications for Early College High School are now open for the 2026-27 school year. Early College High School is a non-traditional school option for students within the Salem-Keizer Public Schools. In partnership with Chemeketa Community College, Salem-Keizer offers ECHS to students in grades 9-12. They will enroll in college preparatory high school courses with the option to begin attending Chemeketa classes their junior and/or senior year at the expense of the school district.

ECHS Application Timeline for the 2026-27 school year

  • January 5 ‐ February 17: Middle School Counselor Presentations
  • February 19 (6-7:30 p.m.): 8th Grade Open House
  • March 10: Freshman Application Deadline (Incoming 9th Graders)
    Applications and recommendations received after this date will be considered for the second round.
  • TBD Admissions Interviews
  • April 17: Freshman Decision Letters Mailed
  • April 17: Sophomore Application Deadline (Incoming 10th Graders)
  • May 8: Registration Packets Due

  • ECHS Student Form
  • Teacher Recommendation School
  • Counselor Recommendation

Final Candidates

Final candidates will be invited to an interview. Interviews will take place at the student's middle school in late March/early April.
